My 🐝 and I on the very first big roadtrip through Russia.

About 2000km and 100l of gasoline.

From 35 degrees and pure sunshine in Togliatti to 15 degrees in St.Petersburg.

Honestly, as I was about to leave Togliatti, I didn’t know how far I would get, maybe just to Penza, and then say β€œYou know what! This bike roadtrip is not my thing after all”, then turn around and ride back.

But it didn’t happen! On the opposite, I enjoyed every bit of it (even the shitty rainy part from Moscow to Tver).

So it’s just the very beginning of the trip, just a test ride and proof of concept. Yes, I do love it and can’t wait to continue!

Tomorrow I’m heading to Estonia. First border crossing! Wish me luck! πŸ€™

Thank you all for the support and encouragement! Sending you lots of love! ❀️

My trip step by step:

1. Togliatti 🏍 Syzran

Starting from Togliatti with 38.821 on the odometer. All set, saying goodbye to the neighbourhood, driving through the streets where I grew up, and riding into the sunset. Still have to figure out how this whole video thing works. It’s going to be “learn as you go” πŸ˜…

2. Syzran 🏍 Penza

Warm and sunny summer ride! Starting to get the feel of the road trip and really happy I’ve got my friend to follow me to Penza. From tomorrow on I’m riding solo.

3. Penza 🏍 Ryazan

This was the longest ride so far but there were barely any places worth staying at in between and I just really wanted to get to Moscow as soon as possible.

Honestly I underestimated how long it would take to get to Ryazan and really took my time in the morning for yoga and breakfast, which in the end maybe gave me the energy to survive throughout the day πŸ˜„

The last couple of hours I was doubting I would be able to make it and waited with booking the accommodation until I got into the city πŸ˜…

4. Ryazan 🏍 Moscow

I was really exhausted after yesterday’s leg of the trip but Moscow was waiting and it didn’t seem like a long ride.

I had to take a long break in the middle to recharge the batteries and even had an ice cream (I normally don’t eat sugar but this time an energy boost very much needed).

5. Moscow 🏍 Tver

Just 158 km, which took me over 3 hours in traffic jams, heavy rain, strong wind, and below 10 degrees Celsius πŸ₯Ά

You gotta love suffering to do something like this πŸ˜…

All my belongings got wet but I arrived safely to the hotel. Hoping for better conditions tomorrow 🀞

Thank you @tonyavec for all the help, the good mood, the fun, and just for joining me in this horrible weather 😁

6. Tver 🏍 Nóvgorod

If I didn’t ride in the rain yesterday, today I’d be bitching about how cold it is (going from 35 degrees to 10 is not so easy). But you know what?! Today I’m endlessly happy it’s not raining! Well, at least it’s not raining all the time!

And the sky is just soooo beautiful 😍

7. Novgorod 🏍 St.Petersburg

Last destination before leaving Russia. Arriving to my favorite St.Petersburg with sunshine and going for a ride around this beautiful city πŸ₯°
