The trip to Andorra was carefully planned according to the weather forecast. It was supposed to be the warmest sunniest day and my only chance in the foreseeable future to visit the country that I had never been to and was very curious to see!

A tiny little country in the middle of the Pyrenees mountains squeezed between Spain and France and somehow not being a part of EU.

Beginning of April is the end of the ski season with still quite a lot of snow but the temperatures start to rise, being the perfect time to see snow and not freeze to death on your motorcycle.

I can’t say I wasn’t worried though.

I got even more worried as I started seeing the snow covered mountain tops, as I was riding towards Andorra.

I was trying to take in every bit of the last Spanish warmth and bring it with me to Andorra.

My plan A was to just drive through the country, get a few coffees to keep myself from freezing and quickly move on to France.

But deep inside I was hoping it wouldn’t be that bad and I would be able to spend a day riding around Andorra!

And you know what?! It was warm!

I mean not summer warm of course. But not winter cold either!

And the roads were absolutely fine and not icy at all! Except for the one part There was only one part that was still covered with slush-like snow and as I watched a 4×4 struggle to get through it I decided it was smartest to turn around and go explore some other curves πŸ˜…

And oh my god!! So so beautiful! Not a single straight road in the whole country (and you can pretty much drive every single road in one day)! And the whole vibe is like a big ski village, cute houses, ski lifts and rentals.

Spain to Andorra

Andorra to France

So happy I took the chance to visit it!
Thank you Andorra for a warm welcome!
